Poets Corner is a lovely, friendly tearoom within a traditional cottage complete with timber beams and sloping roofs. Set in gorgeous Ayrshire countryside, right across from the Robert Burns cottage, this is a perfect spot to take in the scenery, reflect on some Scottish writing, and, of course, enjoy some yummy food. The friendly staff are happy to welcome you into this cosy little cafe and there’s a great range of lunchtime snacks, light bites and teas and coffees. They have a famous traditional Scottish breakfast (Rabbie Burns would no doubt approve!) plus lovely seasonal soups – perfect if the Scottish weather isn’t being kind. There’s plenty of veggie and gluten-free options, so something to suit everyone, while the highlight has got to be the selection of homemade cakes. Your waistline may not thank you for it, but your taste buds certainly will.
